Developing Reflective Learners with Constructive Feedback
Limited Capacity seats available

There are several pedagogies being applied to teaching to enhance and maximize students’ learning.  Integrating technology, problem solving, critical thinking and games can help in the learning  of students.  However, there are skills that need to be inculcated to the students which can help with their emotional growth.

Being a reflective learner is one of the essential skills that need to be developed in each student.   It is a skill that will ensure students’ success once they step out of the four-walled classrooms.   Identifying  one’s strengths and weaknesses can be supported  by teachers  by  giving immediate and constructive feedback to the students.   Giving each of the student the opportunity to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses will not only enhance their  self-esteem  and confidence but will  give them the pride to take ownership of their learning.

In this workshop, several ways of giving immediate and constructive feedback will be discussed.   Emphasis will be given on the impact of varied feedbacks to students’ learning.   It is expected that at the end of the workshop, teachers can bring with them knowledge that will have impact not only on the students’ learning but also on their emotional development.
